Hi friends! I just got back from Disney World, and I’m feeling so refreshed. It’s amazing what a week away with friends can do for your stress levels! Now that I’m home, it only seems right to reflect on my trip with food recommendations for the Disney vacationer.
Animal Kingdom
We started our Disney World adventure in Animal Kingdom! I combed the park for some of the most fun, pretty, and delicious foods and these were some of my favorites.
The Lion’s Latte

Located down the road from the exit of the Kali River Rapids, is the Joffrey’s stand. They have traditional espresso beverages, iced chai lattes and best of all… the Lion’s Latte (a mix of white chocolate and coconut topped with whipped cream)! This is the best place to start off your day at Animal Kingdom.

The Yeti Sundae

Hidden among the stalls near Expedition Everest… is the Yeti Sundae! Perfect for a hot and humid day, the Yeti sundae is a combination of chocolate and vanilla soft serve topped with cake crumbles and sprinkles.

The Chili-Garlic Shrimp Bowl

After hopping off Avatar’s Flight of Passage, stop by the Satu’li Canteen for lunch or dinner! The food is amazing and you have the option of customizing the base, and sauces. I ordered Chili-Garlic Shrimp with vegetable slaw, noodles and boba balls on the side.

The Chocolate Mousse Cake

Finish off your meal at the Satu’li Canteen with this sweet treat! A chocolate cake dome with a crunchy hazelnut cookie base, banana cream, and topped with goji berries. It’s both beautiful and delicious!

Epcot
Where do I even start in Epcot?! We were there during the food & wine festival and got about a quarter of the way around the world before we had to start getting a little more selective with our food choices. We decided to continue getting a drink in every country, and only the best looking food as we continued on. The food at the food & wine festival was some of the best that I had all week. If you can make it during the festival, these are definitely worth a try!

China
One of my favorite spots: we ordered the pan-fried chicken dumplings drizzled with sweet and spicy sauce, the Mongolian beef bao, and the ByeJoe Punch (an alcoholic beverage made with BaiJiu, Piña Colada mix, and lychee). This booth is perfect if you’re craving a light and savory snack in the middle of the day! Also available at this booth: Dandan Noodles.

Germany
Some of the most delicious options await you in Germany! Last year, we sampled the Schinkennudeln (a pasta gratin with ham, onions, and cheese) as well as the Roasted Bratwurst in a Pretzel Roll. This year we moved on to dessert deciding to try the Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce. A delicious mid-day dessert that paired well with the Schöfferhofer Pineapple Hefeweizen beer.

Spain
Moving on to one of the best kinds of food…Charcuterie! The vinaigrette on this selection of Spanish meats and cheeses was amazing and of course, complimented the wine flight perfectly. The wine was not the best wine I’ve ever had… but it was a nice assortment!

Italy
We bypassed the gnocchi in Italy but we had to stop to try the Prosecco and Italian Sangria! Halfway around the world, it’s the perfect spot to cool down, refresh in a gift shop and sip on some wine.

Morocco
Hidden inside the Tangierine Café – Morocco’s food & wine festival stop is not in a booth, but it is home to my favorite drink of the day: A fig cocktail with white cranberry juice and fig vodka. Refreshing, fruity, and not too sweet, this drink leaves you with a lovely aftertaste. The best dessert I had all day was also in Morocco: a pistachio cake with cinnamon pastry cream and candied walnuts. It was perfectly balanced and not too heavy! Perfect for the stifling humidity. We enjoyed this snack during a mid-day downpour.

France
We visited France and had to come back for more later in the day! The first time around, we ordered the beignet aux trois fromages: a warm beignet filled with a three-cheese blend. Our drink of choice was the La Passion Martini Slush: A passion fruit and cranberry blended beverage that really cooled us down. Right before settling down for the fireworks, we swung by again this time to try the Parmentier de Boeuf Braisé au Cabernet: Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet with Mashed Potatoes. Baked to perfection, this snack was a perfect snack to enjoy during the show!

Canada
As the sun came back out, we rushed into this haven from the heat, the Appleseed Orchard located in Canada is the perfect spot to sit in some AC and indulge in the apple crumble tart. They have an assortment of ciders along with the apple blossom sky cocktail (pictured here)!

The Alps
The perfect pairing: this savory snack from the Alps features warm raclette swiss cheese with riesling-poached pears, red wine-braised figs, candied pecans, and honey cranberry toast. The frozen rosé balances with the warm cheese perfectly for a delicious snack.

Greece
How cute is the Greece booth?! I felt like singing Mamma Mia down the street as we sipped on this wine flight!

Magic Kingdom
Last year, we enjoyed dinner at the Be Our Guest restaurant in Fantasyland. A three-course meal ending with a dessert trio, the service is wonderful and the food is amazing! This year, we ate at Cinderella’s Royal Table another three-course meal with your choice of appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Both experiences offer fine dining options for both lunch and dinner. *Note reservations should be made in advance for both restaurants!
The Magic Carpet Ride

Cinderella’s Royal Table is located in Cinderella’s castle – the focal point of the Magic Kingdom! On our way up to lunch, we met Cinderella before climbing up a spiral staircase up to the main dining room. The staff transports you into a fairytale as they distribute menus. All the entrées are Disney princess-themed. I chose the meat lover’s dream or “the Magic Carpet Ride”. An offering of pork two ways. Spiced-crusted pork tenderloin and pork belly served with curry couscous, glazed rainbow carrots, and a peppercorn flying carpet.

The Clock Strikes Twelve

A heavier dessert, this dark chocolate mousse dessert with caramel and crunchy praline center is served with chocolate sauce and hazelnut gelato. Aesthetically, it’s the perfect ending to your fairytale experience but be sure you arrive hungrily!

The Minnie Mouse Rice Crispy Treat

A Disneyland classic: the rice crispy treat! The end of a long day at Magic Kingdom calls for a midnight snack. I had to include this adorable Minnie Mouse-themed treat. The cake pops and candy apples are also a must-have!

Hollywood Studios
Our last stop at Disney World is home to Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and… some pretty delicious snacks!
The Charcuterie Board

A hidden gem in Hollywood Studios: the Baseline Tap House! The Laura Chenel’s Sonoma goat cheese was one of the highlights of this board. This paired with a glass of wine made for the perfect early evening snack.

The Wookie Cookie

This cookie is a lot bigger than it looks! Two oatmeal cookies sandwiched together by frosting with the consistency of whipped cream make for a delicious Star Wars-themed treat!

A gorgeous mini-cake, this dessert just might make you forget that you’re on your way home and back to real life! A vanilla chiffon cake with blue mousse, blueberry jam, and lemon curd is the ultimate treat for two.
