Writer’s Block

And just like that, she’s blogging again! I must confess, I have not written much since 2020. It felt like the world came to a standstill. What could I possibly write about to distract anyone from the chaos of the last two years? But two years came and went and I’m taking a moment to reimagine what this blog will be for me. I’ve spent the last three years willing myself to write a post, reclaim the confidence and inspiration that struck when I embarked on my first solo adventure to London in 2019. But sometimes, a feeling is meant to be captured; frozen in time on a page or screen, while other adventures must be left to the moment, experienced and reflected upon later. That, friends, is how I’m explaining away my writes block. But no matter what my reasons, I’m excited to be documenting my adventures in my virtual scrapbook once again.

Three years later, I’m still battling my desire to have the perfect blog. Posting only my best, most polished work. But in the end, I created this blog so I would have space to express myself in all my vibrant messiness. I was reminded of this earlier today when in a humbling turn of events, I had quite the wardrobe malfunction. Story time: this Friday, I’m working out of a different WeWork building. Last time I worked out of this building, I was wearing a new purple button down dress. Just as I was taking the elevator up to our floor…POP the whole dress opened up in the front. Turns out, the button holes were too large for the buttons and the dress could not stay closed. This morning, as I was getting out of the car… POP the zipper on my pants exploded. Inspiration can be found anywhere, so in honor of my ruined pants… POP the blog is back and I’ll be conquering writers block one word at a time.
